For many years I was insecure and let comparing myself to others steal my joy.

The problem wasn’t the men who worked beside me.  It was the cultural narrative we’ve all heard for so long.  Ya know, like the stories you hear from the media.

It’s natural to internalize those narratives and believe that you have to be tough to fit in with your colleagues or get a promotion; even at the cost of losing your own identity.

After years of battling how “I should be” vs how I wanted to be, I finally gave up the facade of being tough and started to lean into both formal and informal leadership roles but this time, doing things my way.

That led me to starting Ordinary to Badass.

Through these experiences, I realized that confidence doesn’t come from an object like a gun, motorcycle, or a leather jacket; it comes from being who you are and embracing what’s unique to you.

Now I am a coach, and I encourage women to step into their own Badassery and be the leader they want to see in their organization.
