About Kathrine Switzer
Kathrine was the first woman to enter run the Boston Marathon in 1967. She ran the race and women were banned to run marathons until 1972. Kathrine was considered a disruptor, even though all she wanted to do was run. Kathrine and her 1967 Marathon bib number (#261) have come to mean fearless in the face of Adversity.
